HVS Teams headed to the National Playoffs!

HVS Teams headed to the National Playoffs!

What a season it has been for HVS and our many teams.  In the Spring season alone, our teams have won over 150 games, have won multiple Tournament Championships and several teams have made it to the National Playoffs.

Our MLS NEXT U16 Boys are headed to Frisco, TX in June to compete with the very best of the best.  They finished 2nd in MLS NEXT league play and now look to win the National Championship.  They will play 3 games in 4 days from June 17-20.  If they have success, MLS will pay for them to stay for another week at the league’s expense as they compete in the Final Four.

Our DPL U15 Girls are once again headed for the National Playoffs.  They head to Cincinnati, OH from June 27- July 2.  This team is in it’s 3rd straight year of making the playoffs.  They finished 2nd in the league with a record of 13-2-1!

Our DPL U13 Girls finished 3rd in the league with a record of 15-2-4.  They finished 12 points ahead of 4th place NASA TopHat.  They are also headed to Cincinnati for the National Playoffs!

Our MLS NEXT U17 Boys are headed to Frisco, TX to compete in the National Showcase event.  After competing all season with teams like Atlanta United, Charlotte FC, and Nashville SC, we can’t wait to see who is next as this team continues to compete at the highest level.

The MLS NEXT U19 Boys qualified for and played in the MLS NEXT Flex Finals in Maryland. This event was a pre-qualifier for the National Playoffs.  While the team did not advance, they played some excellent soccer and were showcased to the hundreds of college coaches in attendance.

Our U12 Girls Yellow team tied for 3rd place in the SCCL with a record of 6-3-2.  They have repeatedly beaten teams that will play in the Girls Academy or ECNL next season. Our U12 Girls Grey team finished in 1st place in the SCCL this spring with a record of 7-0-0!

All of our HVS Teams experienced a high level of success.  Our 08 MLS Next boys went 4-1-0 in their last 5 games of the season.  This was just one example of how all of our teams progressed throughout the year.

The reputation of our players and our teams has been growing at an incredible rate.  We had 11 different players invited into National Training Centers for evaluation during the year.  We had 7 players invited to Trials with MLS Academies.  We also had nearly 800 players register for tryouts with HVS.  From that group, 400 were selected to participate in the coming season with 24 HVS teams.

It has been an amazing year and we can’t wait to share with you all the successes of our next generation of players.
