HVS Names Grant Hudson MLS NEXT Tier 2 Director

Guiding the Future of HVS Talent Through MLS NEXT Tier 2

Hoover-Vestavia Soccer is proud to announce that long-time staff coach Grant Hudson has been named Director of the MLS NEXT Tier 2 Program.

Grant holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Mississippi College, where he was also a standout player and team captain. Over the past two years, he has coached multiple HVS teams with consistent success and noticeable development across each group.

With MLS recently acquiring the National Academy League, the HVS Boys’ second teams will now compete in the MLS NEXT Tier 2 division. This exciting change brings improved structure, reduced travel demands, and high-level matchups against other top MLS NEXT programs.

In his new role, Grant will lead the way in scheduling, training, and player development for all six Tier 2 teams.
