Backed by Major League Soccer, this league features top-tier training standards, advanced competition, and a direct player pathway to collegiate and professional opportunities, including MLS NEXT Pro.
Our HVS MLS NEXT teams compete against the best clubs in the country, ensuring players are constantly tested and supported in their development through national events like MLS NEXT Fest and MLS NEXT Cup.
MLS NEXT 2 (Tier 2)
New for the 2025–26 season, MLS NEXT 2 is a second-tier platform launched by MLS, allowing HVS to field second teams under the MLS NEXT umbrella. This Tier 2 structure connects more players to elite development opportunities while maintaining high standards of training and coaching.
With a regional focus and access to national MLS events, MLS NEXT 2 ensures that talented players receive exposure and competition in a format that supports growth and long-term development—without the extensive travel of Tier 1.
SCCL
The SCCL offers a high-level competitive environment for boys ages U12 to U19 across the Southeast. With a promotion/relegation structure, SCCL features Champions League and Premier divisions, allowing players and teams to compete in a structure that rewards performance and development.
HVS teams in the SCCL benefit from quality regional competition, manageable travel, and college exposure, all while playing under the governance of US Club Soccer.
Alabama Soccer
At the foundation of our player development pyramid, ASA provides meaningful league and tournament play for emerging players. Through ASA’s State League, State Cup, and festival events, HVS boys have the opportunity to grow in a positive and challenging environment.
As Alabama’s official affiliate of US Youth Soccer, ASA plays a vital role in nurturing young athletes and preparing them for future success in the game.
