About
Carlos Mercado, originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, played professionally for Atlas, Tecos, and Toluca. He moved to Birmingham in 2015 and coached for six seasons at Clay-Chalkville High School, reaching the state playoffs each year. He has also coached with Hoover Soccer Club, FC Birmingham, and in the UPSL. He holds licenses from U.S. Soccer and United Soccer Coaches.
