The Director’s Cut volume 6
HVS teams saw lots of action over the past 10 days with Girls NPL, Boys NPL & Girls & Boys State League games. In NPL our 08 and 04 girls are currently sitting in 1st place in the league. Our 09 girls are 2-1 in league play and currently sit in 4th place.
On the boy’s side, our 06-2 team is in 2nd place in the league and 07-2 are in 3rd. Our 09 Boys have not yet played a state league game.
This past weekend we hosted UFA on Saturday in both girls and boy’s competition. Our boys went 3-1-2 and our girls went 2-2-2. Then our boys traveled 6 hours to get ready for Sunday games in South Carolina against Wake FC North. Our 04 Boys are in 1st place in NPL and our 08 and 05 teams sit in 2nd. Our 06 boys have climbed up to 3rd place.
It was great to see eight different college coaches in attendance at our home games this past weekend. We appreciate them taking the time to come and watch both our boys and girls in action.
On Monday night we hosted our 1st ever College Night (by Zoom). We had 200 families participate in this 1 hour program to learn more about the college recruiting process. Special thanks to our College Liaisons, Kat Nichols and Justus Griffin for putting on such an informative event. And thanks to Soccer Nation for sponsoring this event.
The challenges during this crazy year continue to come at us. I hope everyone is able to navigate them as well as possible. Please know that all of our staff appreciate your patience and your efforts to help this season run as smoothly as possible.
